Soybean grains are particularly suitable as a substitute for ground beef in hot dishes like this one. Chopped greens replace high-calorie beans, make the dish satiating. If you want to make the preparation even easier, just replace the spices with a bag of chili spice mixture. A salad - a simple filling meal - goes well with this dish.


List of ingredients (6 people)

Olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 carrot, diced
2 sticks of chopped celery
120 g pickled sweet green chillies, diced
2 cans of tomatoes at 420 gr (of which 1 can puree)
2 packs (approx. 320 g) of soy granules
1 tsp ground cumin
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
2 tablespoons of chili powder
1 teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of chilli sauce
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (to taste)


Preparation

Place the olive oil in a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat. Sauté the onion, carrots and celery for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
Add the tomatoes and tomato puree, soy granules and spices, mix well and bring to a boil.
Cover the pot and simmer the chili for 15-20 minutes over medium-low heat.
Garnish with fresh cilantro to taste.
