Ground poultry
A juicy meatloaf is a delicacy. In a conventional oven, a massive roast usually needs to stew for at least an hour and a half. In this recipe, however, it is pre-cooked in the microwave, which cuts cooking times in half. The taste is simply delicious - and it also contains much less fat than the classic meatloaf. It also tastes great cold, sliced and served on a salad.
Ingredient List (9 People)
Olive oil
2 egg whites
50 ml of skimmed milk
50 spiced breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon of steak sauce
2 tablespoons of ketchup
1 medium onion, grated
1 grated carrot
1 ½ teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper
½ teaspoon of dried thyme
½ teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 cloves of fresh garlic
2 tablespoons of dried parsley
500 g of minced chicken and turkey breast or 1 kg of minced turkey breast meat
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 160 C.
Spread a thin layer of olive oil on a 20 cm square ovenproof dish.
Beat the egg whites with the milk in a sufficiently large bowl.
Add the breadcrumbs, steak sauce and ketchup and mix well with a fork.
Let it rest for 5 minutes or until the breadcrumbs have absorbed the liquid.
Add the vegetables, spices and herbs.
Add the minced meat and mix thoroughly with your hands.
Pour the meat part into the prepared mold and form a loaf.
Brush with olive oil and cook in the microwave for 25 minutes on maximum heat.
Continue cooking in the oven for another 25 minutes.
Leave the meatloaf to rest in the oven for 10 minutes. This makes it easier to cut.
